Field Capture SDK Enables Custom Enterprise Integrations
Developer toolkit allows organizations to embed instant content delivery capabilities into their own mobile applications and workflows.
Orisium is pleased to announce the availability of the Field Capture SDK, enabling enterprise developers to embed instant mobile content delivery capabilities directly into their own applications. The SDK provides the same core technology that powers the Field Capture app, packaged as a drop-in component for iOS and Android development environments. Organizations can now add seamless content capture and cloud synchronization to existing mobile workflows without building the underlying infrastructure.
Extending Field Capture to Custom Applications
Many enterprise organizations have invested in custom mobile applications tailored to their specific operational needs. Whether it is a field service app, a safety inspection tool, or a customer engagement platform, these applications often include media capture as part of their functionality. The Field Capture SDK allows developers to replace basic camera integration with enterprise-grade capture and instant cloud delivery, inheriting all the reliability, security, and management capabilities of the full Field Capture platform.
The SDK exposes a simple API that developers can integrate in minutes. A few lines of code replace standard camera calls with Field Capture functionality. The SDK handles all complexity of background upload, connection management, retry logic, and offline queuing. Content captured through SDK-integrated apps flows seamlessly into the organization's Orisium DAM alongside content from the standalone Field Capture app, providing a unified repository regardless of how content was captured.
Developer-Friendly Architecture
The Field Capture SDK is available for both native iOS (Swift and Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin and Java) development. Cross-platform frameworks including React Native and Flutter are supported through wrapper libraries. Comprehensive documentation, sample projects, and reference implementations help developers get started quickly. The SDK is distributed through standard package managers and can be added to existing projects with minimal friction.
Enterprise Controls and Customization
IT administrators maintain full control over SDK-based deployments. The same policy engine that governs the Field Capture app applies to SDK integrations, ensuring consistent security and compliance across all content capture touchpoints. Developers can customize the capture experience to match their application's design language while inheriting enterprise authentication, encryption, and audit capabilities automatically.
Availability
The Field Capture SDK is available immediately to all Orisium DAM customers with Field Capture entitlements. Developer documentation and resources are accessible through the Orisium Developer Portal. Our technical team is available to support integration projects and answer questions about SDK capabilities. We look forward to seeing how our customers extend instant content delivery to their unique mobile workflows.
