Introducing AI-Powered Media Search
New capabilities enable natural language search across enterprise media archives.
Today we are thrilled to announce the general availability of AI-Powered Media Search, a transformative new capability that enables enterprise users to find any asset in their media libraries using natural language queries. This feature represents a fundamental shift in how organizations interact with their content, moving beyond traditional keyword and metadata-based search to an intuitive, conversational approach that understands context, intent, and visual content.
Natural Language Understanding
AI-Powered Media Search allows users to search their media archives the way they naturally think and speak. Instead of remembering exact file names, folder structures, or specific metadata tags, users can now ask questions like "find the product launch video from last quarter featuring the CEO" or "show me photos of our Sydney office with natural lighting." The system understands the semantic meaning behind queries and returns relevant results even when exact terms do not match stored metadata. This dramatically reduces the time teams spend searching for assets and improves content utilization across the organization.
Visual Content Analysis
Beyond text-based understanding, AI-Powered Media Search incorporates advanced visual analysis capabilities that enable searching based on what appears within images and videos. The system can identify objects, scenes, activities, people, text within images, brand elements, and emotional tone. Users can search for "outdoor scenes with mountains" or "presentation slides showing quarterly revenue" and receive accurate results based on actual visual content, not just manually applied tags. This capability is particularly valuable for organizations with large legacy archives that lack comprehensive metadata.
Enterprise-Grade Privacy and Security
We understand that enterprise media often contains sensitive and confidential content. AI-Powered Media Search is built on our Private AI infrastructure, ensuring that all analysis and indexing occurs within your secure environment. Your content never leaves your control, and all AI processing respects your existing access controls and permissions. Users only see search results for assets they are authorized to access, maintaining proper governance even as discoverability improves. Organizations can also configure custom sensitivity rules to exclude certain content types from AI analysis.
Getting Started
AI-Powered Media Search is now available to all Enterprise DAM customers at no additional cost. The feature can be enabled through your admin dashboard, and initial indexing of existing assets typically completes within 24 to 48 hours depending on library size. Our customer success team is available to provide training and best practices for maximizing the value of this new capability. We are also publishing detailed documentation in our developer portal for teams looking to integrate AI search into custom workflows through our API.
